SBK Brushwood Killer

SBK does not control bamboo. It does not kill monocotyledonous plants, hence its use on grass areas.

SBK will control this weed but may require repeat applications as regrowth can be expected from the extensive root system. This is a poisonous weed which becomes more palatable when it wilts and grazing animals must be excluded from treated areas until topgrowth has died back completely

SBK will have little effect against Ground Elder which is resistant to most weedkillers presently available.

SBK has been found to provide a useful level of control against Japanese Knotweed. The plant should be treated when there is a good leaf area present to absorb the weedkiller but before flowering has commenced. Repeat applications will be required as regrowth from the extensive root system can be expected.

Bluebells are monocotyledons and would not be killed by an inadvertent overspray of SBK. We recommend that grass areas containing bluebells should not be treated in the Spring until flowering is over and leaves have died back.

SBK will not be effective in controlling violet in grass areas.
